Disposable Bed Sheets
Nine sizes, four constructions, with or without threading
Single-use bed sheets exist to take a linen cycle out of your operation. For a facility running an outsourced laundry contract, the arithmetic is usually straightforward: a disposable sheet on a high-turnover bed costs less than washing, drying, folding and re-delivering a cotton one, before you count the sheets written off to staining.
Four constructions are available, and the right one depends on what you are protecting against. One-ply non-woven is a dry barrier for examination and treatment. Add PE film and you have a fluid barrier suitable for incontinence and procedures. Two-ply tissue with PE film gives you absorbency and barrier together.
Threaded versions are available with 8, 12, 17 or 48 threads, and wax string, for stretchers and beds where the sheet needs to hold its position under a moving patient.
